While all geographic coordinates, terrain difficulty assessments, and seasonal safety notes are prepared with scholarly diligence, natural environments in Latvia—including peat bogs, sea cliffs, karst caves, and crumbling military fortifications—carry inherent physical risks. Weather shifts, rising water levels, ice conditions, and structural decay can change terrain rapidly.

Users who embark on independent expeditions to the places described on this platform do so entirely at their own risk. Pickora Baltic Expeditions SIA assumes no liability for personal injury, property loss, or search-and-rescue expenses incurred during exploration.

4. Environmental Compliance and Field Ethics

All visitors are strictly required to observe Latvian nature protection legislation (Dabas aizsardzības likums) and local sanctuary zoning rules. Prohibited actions include: driving off designated roads, lighting open fires outside marked hearths, damaging sphagnum bog cushions, disturbing nesting waterfowl, or defacing historical and cultural monuments.
